Meet Dr. Yossi Kastan
Why I Do This Work
For much of my life, I believed that the answer was simple:
Work harder.
Be there for everyone.
Carry whatever was needed.
As a school leader, executive, coach, husband, father, and community leader, I poured myself into work that mattered deeply to me. I believed in the mission. I cared deeply about the people I served, and I was grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.
In many ways, I was living the life I had always hoped for.
But somewhere along the way, I noticed something unsettling.
The very responsibilities that gave my life meaning were slowly obscuring the person carrying them.
From the outside, everything looked successful.
Inside, I found myself asking:
Was I still living the life I truly wanted?
Or had I become so committed to serving everyone else that I had quietly stopped paying attention to myself?
That realization changed me.
Not because I wanted to leave leadership.
But because I wanted to lead differently.
I wanted my life to feel as aligned on the inside as it appeared on the outside.
I wanted my work to grow out of who I was—not replace who I was.
A Question Shared by So Many Leaders
As I began coaching leaders from schools, nonprofits, businesses, and faith communities, I discovered that my story wasn't unique.
Again and again, I met extraordinary people carrying extraordinary responsibility:
Leaders who loved their work
People deeply committed to their families, organizations, and communities
Individuals making a genuine difference in the lives of others
Yet beneath the surface, many quietly wrestled with the same question:
How do I continue giving so much of myself without losing myself in the process?
That question has become the center of my life's work.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because I have lived the question.
Today, through coaching, organizational consulting, facilitation, speaking, and writing, I have the privilege of walking alongside individuals and organizations as they navigate life's most meaningful opportunities and challenges.
Whether we're talking about:
Leadership
Career transitions
Relationships
Organizational culture
Purpose
Identity
The deeper question is often the same:
How do I become more fully myself while faithfully carrying the responsibilities entrusted to me?
That is the work we do together.
Not chasing someone else's definition of success.
Not becoming a different person.
But returning to the person you were created to become.
That journey inspired me to create the TAP Framework—Truth, Authenticity, and Purpose—and ultimately write The Weight of Purpose.
Our greatest contribution to the world is not simply what we accomplish. It is who we become in the process.
Professional Background
Today, I continue partnering with leaders through:
Executive coaching
Strategic facilitation
Organizational development
Speaking

While I'm grateful for these experiences and credentials, I don't believe they are what make this work meaningful.
The real work happens:
One conversation at a time.
One courageous question at a time.
One intentional step at a time.

Beyond My Work
The most important parts of my life are not found on a résumé.
They are found:
Around my family's table
In the communities I care about
In the relationships that continue to shape me
In the daily practice of living the principles I invite others to explore
I don't see myself as someone who has arrived. I see myself as someone who is:
Still learning.
Still growing.
Still doing the work.
That is why I approach every coaching relationship with:
Humility
Curiosity
Hope
Not as an expert standing above you. But as a trusted partner walking beside you.
Let's Begin the Conversation
My work isn't to tell you who to become.
It's to help you remove the barriers that keep you from becoming who you've always been capable of being.
Whether you're:
Navigating a leadership challenge
Standing at a personal crossroads
Seeking to build a healthier organization
I'd be honored to explore whether we're the right fit.
If this story resonates with you, I'd love to hear yours.
